We decided to take our visiting 17 yo grandson to the Banana Boat on a Sunday afternoon , because they feature entertainment , and a casual waterfront atmosphere . The menu is expansive and the service we had was delightful. We enjoyed calamari as a starter , which was delish, fish tacos, and the men had burgers. Every dish was enjoyable. Our dessert .. a banana split was more than good ( it was definitely a 'shareable' dish.)We are in walking distance from this dining venue , so when visiting in Boynton Beach , it is one of our 'go to' places!!! Sophia was our server and she was a delight!

This is our go to place for lunch. You sit right on the intercoastal by the bridge and watch all the beautiful boats going by. They have a dock for you to also come to lunch by boat. There's always a nice breeze there and the waiters and waitresses are super friendly and attentive. The food is always stellar! Last time I had lobster tail, prawns and scallops with a scoop of fresh spinach and it was delicious! If you like frozen drinks, try a dirty banana. They're very tasty! Oh, and by the way, there's live bands there on the weekend with a great big fun patio bar

Food was great, service almost great, but the staff tried to do a good job. Management needs to re-stuff the cushions on the chairs, as you "sink when you sit"......... Please do it & then I'll get you to 5 stars!

Great service as always for a local restaurant where the food is creative and always fresh. Two large bars, one inside one outside. Live music Friday 7-10, Saturday 8-11, and Sunday 2-5. Happy Hour M-Sa 5-7 with bar bites at a smaller portion and half the regular price. Great place to meet up with family or friends for Brunch, Lunch or Dinner.

Had dinner here tonight. Food - good martini except that the lemon twist had the end of the lemon on it. Like the stem part. Otherwise fine. My steak Chimmichuri was great. Swapped the rice for broccoli. Service - top notch Ambiance - looks like there was a renovation. Really nice.

Banana Boat is your favorite family restaurant by the water. Perfect for a meal and seagazing. The location is wonderful, vibrant, lively atmosphere. Option of dining indoors or on the deck. Also nice sized bar once you walk in. The food was delicious. Loved the stuffed salmon. Staff were helpful, friendly and attentive. Overall, good experience. I'd go again if in Boynton.

It's been a really long time since I've been to Banana Boat. I live in Boynton Beach but I haven't been in over a decade! I am so glad I have rediscovered Banana Boat as they have really great dishes and views. Arriving on a Saturday, there was a 30 minute wait for outdoor seating around 3PM. I thought that was long since it wasn't exactly lunch or dinner but the wait was worth it. I received a buzzer and walked around the restaurant's exterior. Once we were seated, we noticed that the fans above outside were very strong. It was windy and kept blowing on our table. I can see the pro - no bugs. However, it was cold for me. We ended up moving to a booth by the water and it was a much more pleasant experience! We really enjoyed the boats and jet skis passing by. A great view. For our appetizer, we started off with the calamari and crispy Thai fried shrimp. The calamari came with marinara sauce and lemon. Very fresh and tasty. The crispy Thai fried shrimp was also great. We then got our entrees, and wow the portions! Definitely can be split into 2 meals. The chicken Parmesan was delicious. It was 3 full chicken cutlets, pasta, and toast. The shrimp and scallop scampi was also very memorable. I thought the shrimp were a perfect size. The scallops were very fresh and the linguini in the white wine garlic sauce kept my fork going back for more. This pasta also came with toast. We were all impressed with our entrees. For dessert, we tried the brownie stack and we were not impressed. It's probably because we were assuming it'd be something similar to a molten lava cake with the ice cream on top. The brownies it came with weren't as sweet and had nuts in them. They did give a good amount of ice cream with this dessert dish though. It was okay. We are so glad we gave it a try and we are looking forward to coming back for the food and the views.

Weeks ago, eight of us made outdoor New Years Brunch reservations through Open Table. Since 1971 Banana Boat has provided an "Authentic Florida Experience" for locals & tourists. They are known for reasonably priced fresh seafood, fun appetizers, sandwiches & cocktails, overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway at East Ocean Avenue. The owners, the Therien's shared that since opening over 12 million customers have visited Banana Boat, and over 7,000 employees have worked there. Banana Boat has of long-time employees, including three 30 year employees, and a few 25+ year employees, and quite a few 5 and 10 year staff members. There is a nautical theme here, the restaurants is decorated for the holidays and it's casual. There is live music here on weekends and special occasions. We sat outdoors, watching the boats, pull up under an awning, feeling the breeze of the fan. We had a big round table, and Alana was a waitress. The menu was very appealing. The conch chowder & seafood Cobb were calling me today. There is also brunch menu with eggs, mimosa's and bloody Mary's. The glasses were very narrow on the bottom and our table became very full. Three of our drinks were knocked over and created a mess. My seafood Cobb salad was just OK, but it was enormous and i had enough for another day meals.
